If your business ships FDA-regulated products into the United States, we want to ensure you’re aware of a recent update that may affect your operations.
Effective September 25, 2025, Purolator and UPS have announced that they will temporarily stop accepting shipments of FDA-regulated items destined for the U.S.. This pause is due to increased scrutiny and significant delays at U.S. Customs. If attempted, these shipments will be returned to the shipper — at the shipper’s expense.
What Products Are Affected?
This pause applies to a wide range of FDA-regulated goods, including:
- – Food products, beverages, and dietary supplements
- – Vitamins, minerals, and herbal products
- – Household items used in food preparation
- – Drugs and biologics (including vaccines, prescriptions, and OTC medications)
- – Medical devices (from thermometers to advanced equipment)
- – Radiation-emitting devices (X-ray machines, microwaves, monitors, TVs)
- – Laser products and security screening systems
